TEAM LEADER COMMUNICATIONS & BRANDING
Motor Vehicles Insurance Limited (MVIL) provides Compulsory Third Party Insurance to all vehicle owners in Papua New Guinea. MVIL is now looking to recruit a highly- capable and experienced Team Leader Communications & Branding to be based at our Head Office in Port Moresby.
This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for all internal and external communications of MVIL, as well as building the brand and image of MVIL. Key responsibilities include planning and executing regular communications to be sent to internal and external stakeholders, such as company newsletters and news reports; in addition to managing the public relations and marketing campaigns of MVIL.
You will be expected to:
- Efficiently and effectively lead and administer the communications and marketing function of MVIL.
- Explore, develop and manager MVIL’s public relations, communications, marketing and advertising programs.
- Prepare and initiate targeted advertising strategies that positively promote key projects, issues, services, facilities and events to the general public.
- Manage content of MVIL ’s Digital Platform – websites, online manual and social media.
- Develop and plan the implementation of social media initiatives and campaigns that build awareness and support MVIL’s corporate strategies, plans and objectives.
- Create and manage release dates for recurring publications.
- Organise promotional events and product launches.
- Developing the mid-term to long-term communications strategies for MVIL.
Preferred skills, knowledge and abilities:
- Minimum of 5 years' related work experience.
- Degree or higher in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related discipline.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills and experience in news/creative writing and editing.
- Intermediate skills in print production (layout/design) and video editing.
- Very strong experience in MS suite and Adobe Suite (i.e., Premiere, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise, reporting and meet deadlines.
- Strong organisation and people management skills.
