TEAM LEADER SYSTEMS INFRASTRUCTURE
Motor Vehicles Insurance Limited (MVIL) is a State-Owned Enterprise that provides Compulsory Third-Party Insurance to all vehicle owners in Papua New Guinea. MVIL is now looking to recruit a highly- capable and experienced Team Leader Systems Infrastructure to be based at our Head Office in Port Moresby.
This position reports to the IT Manager and is responsible for leading the technical team in implementing and maintaining a variety of MVIL IT infrastructures.
You will be expected to:
- Lead and mentor the ICT technical team, ensuring support duties are performed efficiently and within agreed service levels;
- Manage virtual host environments (VMWare) and ensure the integrity of disaster recovery protocols using Veeam Backup and Replication;
- Conduct installation, maintenance and repair of all server software/hardware and equipment that is required for the MVIL network domain;
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and security of the MVIL network domain, including Windows (2003–2012) and Linux server environments;
- Ensure 24/7 availability of the Pronto ERP System, CHRIS21 Payroll, and the Driver’s License Systems for NCD and Provinces;
- Assist the ICT Manager in preparing the annual ICT budget and monitor infrastructure expenses to ensure compliance;
- Enforce security procedures through Sophos Cybersecurity solution to protect MVIL ICT environment and digital assets;
- Supervise the maintenance of UPS hardware and power backup systems for MVIL HQ and branch offices;
- Primary officer responsible for the administration of MVIL Datacenter.
Preferred skills, knowledge and abilities:
- Minimum of 5 years' related work experience;
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related;
- Integrity and Ethics is a must;
- Pronto and ICT Systems Infrastructure support experience is highly-desirable;
- Industrial Certification (Microsoft, SQL);
- Administrator level experience in M365/MS Exchange and Active Directory;
- Professional ICT experience in databases or server software/hardware and equipment;
- Ability to communicate technical/complex information;
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server /desktop Operating Systems;
