MVIL Inaugural Internship Program

Motor Vehicles Insurance Limited (MVIL) has officially launched its inaugural Internship Program, welcoming 12 recent tertiary graduands on May 18, 2026. The program is designed to give recent graduates a first-time experience in a professional work environment.

The intensive three-month program, run at MVIL’s head office in Port Moresby, is designed to develop young leaders and bridge the gap between higher education and practical workplace experience. Interns recent qualifications range from Certificate, Diploma and Bachelor Degree level.

During the program launch, MVIL’s Chief Executive Officer Mr. Bafino Koi emphasized that the initiative drives human development and supports young Papua New Guineans.

"There are many opportunities for employment, but most companies look for experience," Mr. Koi stated. "We believe that at MVIL, the interns will gain that experience so they can go out and find their place in society."

The successful rollout of the program's structural framework, guidelines, and compliance policies was led by the Human Resources team under the direction of Mr. Samuel Kiele, Acting Executive Manager Shared Services. 

Through this hands-on commercial experience, MVIL is ensuring the pioneers of this program are fully equipped to excel in the workforce.
