CPTA Opening
Port Moresby, PNG – Motor Vehicles Insurance Limited (MVIL) has officially opened its new Gordons sub-branch at the Central Province Transport Authority (CPTA) premises. This launch marks a significant milestone in MVIL's national branding and service-delivery strategy.
The newly established customer service centre introduces an administrative arrangement with the Central Provincial Government (CPG) that drastically simplifies compliance for corporate entities and business houses. Motorists and fleet managers can now merge MVIL’s compulsory third-party (CTP) insurance services with the CPG’s vehicle registration into a single, seamless transaction, issued as a single sticker.
To support the specific needs of the business community, the Gordons Customer Service Centre features a dedicated VIP/Corporate Lounge alongside general customer service counters. This infrastructure is designed to facilitate faster queries, a more comfortable environment for customers while dealing with corporate clients.
Through a formal delegation of functions, MVIL will act as the CPG's agent, creating a unified pathway for motoring services in the Central Province.
MVIL Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Bafino Koi, emphasized that the Gordons branch serves as the blueprint for an upcoming nationwide rollout. "The Gordons sub-branch is part of MVIL’s branding strategy driven by the slogan “Serving comes first,” " Mr. Koi stated, noting that the model successfully leverages partnerships with provincial governments to maximize customer benefits.
CPTA’s Managing Director, Mr. David Jerram, acknowledged the long, cordial relationship between the organizations, praising MVIL’s leadership in technological innovation. "MVIL provides a service which is conducive and friendly for customers. We look forward to seeing continued improvements in registration and driver license technology in the near future," Mr. Jerram said.
